Tony vs. the Great Snowfall of 2010

Our neighbors have gotten some sort of perverse pleasure at laughing at us!  So far, their favorite has been Tony's attempt to use an umbrella while it was snowing.

My personal favorite has been the night that he came home with a huge bag of salt, a very large snow shovel (remember that we don't even have a driveway here), and a sled.  Why?  Because "all of the locals had them in their buggies."  Awesome...

It's the birthday of the great Drew Brees, the Saints resigned Deuce, the Saints play in the playoffs tomorrow, and.... we have king cake!!!!

Yes, it is most definitely going to be a great weekend! 

Winter Wonderland

This morning we awoke to our first major snowfall here in St. Louis!  We received about 5 inches overnight!

Sugar and I have spent the day playing in the first big snow that we've gotten since we moved here!  I even went outside to take pictures of Tony cleaning off the car this morning.  He insisted that I use an umbrella to protect our camera.  Apparently, our neighbors thought that this was hilarious so they sat in their window and took pictures of me holding an umbrella while taking pictures of Tony clearing off the car!

Getting Ready!

With Christmas just around the corner, SLU has started to put up their holiday decorations!  Too bad we aren't still seeing the gorgeous weather that we were having last week when I took this.  Unfortunately, it's been cold and rainy for the past 3 days!  I can't wait to see what all SLU does for Christmas and I will definitely be posting pictures!

It's Christmastime!

No wait, it's not even Thanksgiving!  Oh well.  Tony and I found a new little gift shop this past weekend called Enchanted Embellishments.  This place is like sensory overload!  The guy who owns it absolutely loves the big, elaborate Christmas window displays in New York and decided that he could have them in his shop has well.  He does all of the  decorating himself and honestly, it's gorgeous.  Tony was impressed because they had free food and drinks while you shopped!  Aunt Nell, we bought a present  for you here!  :)
