Crawfish Boil St. Louis Style

This was our third year attending the LSU Alumni Association crawfish boil here in St. Louis.  As always, we had a great time.  It always nice to get a little taste and feel of home up here.

This was the first year in the new location.  It was fantastic!  So much better than the old location which was just a large tent set out in a parking lot.  This was at the Logan Chiropractic School pavilion which is an absolutely beautiful location.  It's also completely surrounded by trees, so much cooler!  We hope that they continue to book this venue.

This was a few hours into the event.  The alumni association drove up 900 lbs of crawfish for the day!

Devin Davis is the former president of the alumni association here, but he is still in charge of the crawfish boil.  He's also from Sulphur!  Funny story, a group sat down at the same picnic table as us and we started chatting.  One of the guys was from Sulphur as well.  Four SHS graduates all living here in St. Louis!

Yummy!!!

The view from the back of the pavilion in front of the fireplace.  Over 200 people attend the event each year.

Part of our supplies for the evening.  Notice that Tony made purple and yellow jello shots.  No, that wasn't all of them.

A very happy displaced Casian.

Tony was fascinated with taking pictures of the crawfish on the St. Louis Post Dispatch.  I won't bother telling you how many takes there were of these photos.

It was so good to see all of the purple and gold!

Potato!

Potatoes were in short supply this year.  People (including Tony because he loves me) were hopping tables just to steal one.  Everyone knows that they are the best part!

Band set up.

This band was better than previous years as well.  All around, it was a great event!  Can't wait for next year!

When you're up here in the cold Midwest, you even make friends with the other SEC teams.  It hurts a little to admit that.
